OBJECTIVES

1. To bring together everyone who is involved with horses in any way to enable them to have the opportunity to interact and form a platform of common interest.
2. To enhance aspects of horse care and environment through demonstrations, seminars etc.
3. To create awareness in the community of the heritage and the importance of the preservation of horse culture at all levels.
4. To create the conditions to encourage the community to become involved with horses.
5. To disseminate information regarding careers available with horses and the various institutions which offer degree courses. To offer career guidance for the training of farriers and other essential supportive equestrian traders.
6. Advise on the evaluation of standards of local stables and by so doing issue information to the public regarding facilities available to them at these stables and details of qualified instructors etc.
7. To educate the community to respect the rights of horse owners on the road and in the community
8. The society will work towards closer co-operation with the Veterinary Services Directorate and the Quarantine to improve understanding of Health regulations and management of equine conditions and improvement of services rendered by these Directorates.
